Janelle Gibbs
127 1st Ave NE
Hickory, NC 28601
For Janelle Gibbs, real estate is about more than buying and selling homes—it’s about people, relationships, community, and helping clients make confident decisions.
A longtime Hickory-area resident and REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Boyd & Hassell, Janelle proudly serves Catawba County and the surrounding counties of Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Iredell, and Lincoln. Her background in business ownership, interior design, home staging, and marketing gives her a unique perspective when helping sellers showcase their homes and buyers recognize a property’s potential.
Janelle holds the GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) and ABR® (Accredited Buyer’s Representative) designations and served as a Director on the Catawba Valley Association of REALTORS® Board in 2024 and 2025. She has also served on CVAR’s Hostess and Community Service Committees and with the Night Crawl 5K.
Community service has always been important to Janelle. She is a founding member of the Viewmont Street Strut, helped revitalize the Viewmont Business Association, and has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, youth organizations, school and community boards, and therapeutic horseback programs for children and adults with special needs.
Janelle especially enjoys working with first-time buyers, relocating families, first responders, and clients searching for farms, acreage, and equestrian properties. Her connection to first responders is personal—she is the daughter of a retired police officer/special agent, mother of a paramedic, and soon-to-be mother-in-law of a sheriff’s deputy.
A lifelong horse enthusiast and owner, Janelle understands the unique considerations involved in finding the right equestrian property for both horse and rider.
Known for being responsive, detail-oriented, creative, and straightforward, Janelle brings clear communication, confident negotiation, and personal service to every transaction.
Outside of real estate, she is married to her best friend, a proud mother of three and grandmother of three. She enjoys family, travel, camping, hiking, horses, photography, home interiors, floral design, arts and crafts, and puzzles. Her family also includes American Saddlebreds Wyatt and Penny and her Westie, Roscoe the Wonder Pup.
